Advertisement in print media is distinct from online ads in several important ways:
- The physical nature of the interaction, vs. virtual
- The audience
- The duration of exposure
- The size (usually)
Successful print ads draw the readers in with imagery, lock them down with decisive taglines, and hold their attention for message delivery. All the while, more basic cerebral appeals must be integrated, such as colors. And, of course, the verbiage and the look must work in concert.
When I design print ads for customers, I develop graphics, taglines, layout, and wording to be in line with their or their organization’s goals and values. Ads are developed at an hourly rate, plus an initial concept fee, if no concept is provided.
